Station name - South Pole
The system at the South Pole was relocated by approximately 200 m in January 1997. Due to the proximity of the instrument to the geographic South Pole and the movement of the polar ice cab over the bedrock, the azimuth position of the instrument has changed from 84.5°E in January 1997 to 72.5°E in January 2006.
